still 2012...

Years go by so fast, that  even remembering past years "New Years Party" is not an easy task. Try remembering what happen two or even three years ago. Picture yourself in that moment surrounded by your friends or relatives. Try to refresh your memory; what was running through your mind right before everybody is shooting there fireworks up in the sky . Was there anything in particular that you felt during those last seconds as you watch that arrow getting closer and closer to hit 12 o'clock mark? What does new years celebration mean to you? Is it a time to glance back, or look forward into your life? Or is it both, without looking back there is no looking forward. May be is just a simple day, clock strikes twelve, and its time for bed. It could  be just another party with your buddies, where New Years do not even have a slight meaning to your life. I do not know if i will remember this new years celebration as clear as i do now. I know for sure that this post will be my gate to the past, that will take me back to the last seconds of 2012. This post will sharpen the memories of that particular time, and will bring it back into existence.
It all started in Surgut. Me and Irina decided to celebrate new years with her friends in Tyumen city. Which is eleven hours away from where we live. We jumped into a car around 9pm, little after, city lights were disappearing  right behind us. Ahead of us was a long eleven hour drive. It was not only a challenge but also gave us a feeling of suspense. Maneuvering through red and white car headlights was beginning to get its toll. Once we passed five hundred kilometers each kilometer seemed a lot longer longer. Eyes were getting sensitive by each minute. Keeping our eyes open while the cars were passing in front of us was giving us problems. Bright car lights made our eyes extremely tired. Cutting through snow covered forest for eleven hours gave us overwhelming joy once we saw the sign "Tyumen". Couple more minutes and we reached our destination. Next day was a recovery from a long trip.
December 31, we met up with our friends for a great Horse-drawn carriage ride. We sat in the carriage containers filled with warm wine. We curiously waited for the ride to begin. Once we started to move it felt as we were going back in time to medieval ages. It was a strange feeling known that a little bit less then hundred years ago, this was the only source of transportation; only way to get hold of other people. Horse was pulling us with the speed of ten kilometer per hour, while sinking each leg into as high as one meter ground covered with snow. We stopped by the forest, got out and took some photos. We made two about hundred meters in diameter laps, and finished it of with a ride through an old Russian village. Once we got out of the village, another view opened up in front of our eyes. Looking up we saw a pinkish sky just a little bit above the forest and a sunset light penetrating through the branches. Spectacular view. Moving on...
     Party started.
We get it into our friend's Dima apartment, and right away you could sense the new years energy in the air. Girls we running around in the kitchen. Some were already trying on their new dresses. We got here kind of late
